Terms of service

Last updated: 8 September 2026

The service

baseline_ is a workspace for running a company: chat, decisions, goals and issues on the free tier, and a paid governance layer — the board room, the shareholder register, investor updates, accounting financials and data rooms. These terms are the agreement between the company that creates a workspace ("you") and the operator of baseline_ ("we").

By creating a workspace or accepting an invitation into one, you accept these terms.

Accounts and workspaces

You need an account to use baseline_. Keep your credentials to yourself and tell us about any unauthorized use. A workspace belongs to the company that created it; workspace owners and admins control membership, roles and access, and are responsible for admitting the right people at the right level.

Plans and payment

The free tier covers the daily surface for up to 3 people. The paid plan costs $9 per user per month and unlocks the governance layer. Prices can change; existing subscriptions get notice before a change applies. Fees are charged in advance and are non-refundable except where the law says otherwise.

Your content

Everything your workspace puts into baseline_ stays yours. You give us the limited license needed to store, process and display it — that is what running the service means — and nothing more. You are responsible for having the rights to what you upload, and for the accuracy of company records you keep here: baseline_ documents your governance, it does not replace your judgment or your obligations under Norwegian company law.

Acceptable use

Do not use baseline_ to:

  • ·break the law, or store or share content you have no right to,
  • ·probe, overload or disrupt the service or other workspaces,
  • ·resell access, or use the service to build a competing product by systematic extraction,
  • ·harass people. Guests and observers get the access your admins grant them — do not circumvent it.

Availability and support

We run baseline_ with care but provide it "as is", without a promised uptime level. We may change or discontinue features; if we discontinue the service itself we give you at least 90 days and a way to export your workspace, including the company records the law requires you to keep.

Liability

To the extent Norwegian law permits: we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability under these terms is capped at the fees your workspace paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for gross negligence or intent.

Termination

You can delete your workspace at any time; export what you need first. We can suspend or terminate a workspace that materially breaches these terms, with notice and a chance to fix the breach where that is reasonable.

Law and venue

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes belong to the ordinary Norwegian courts with [venue] as the agreed venue, unless mandatory law says otherwise.

Changes

We can update these terms; material changes are announced in the product before they take effect. Continuing to use baseline_ after a change means accepting it.
